When and where to watch the October 2021 PlayStation State of Play

By Keith MitchellOctober 27, 2021
October PlayStation State of Play

Just announced last week, PlayStation announced it was hosting another State of Play event on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. This event will clock in at 20 minutes, possibly more, and is devoted to the 3rd party titles for PS4 and PS5.

A new State of Play is heading your way next Wednesday, October 27 starting at 2:00pm PT / 10:00pm BST.

When and where you can watch the PlayStation State of Play.

  • West Coast: 2 PM PDT
  • East Coast: 5 PM EDT
  • UK: 10 PM BST
  • Central Europe: 11 PM CEST
  • Japan: 7 AM JST (28 October)

During these times, you’ll be able to watch the State of Play on Twitch and YouTube.

What can we expect to see during this PlayStation State of Play?

During the announcement for this State of Play, PlayStation made it quite clear that this event will be focusing on 3rd party titles. As such, we’ll either be seeing updates to existing games and reveals of new ones. There are quite a few 3rd party games in development and a few that were rumored but we haven’t seen or heard of anything yet. In addition, there’s been a rumor floating around that we’d see Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 16 during one of the State of Play events. Considering this is the last one for the year, this would be where we’d see it. This title is one of the more anticipated games, and it was a no-show for E3 2021 and the 2021 Tokyo Game Show.

I’m hoping we get to see more of Stray, the upcoming game where players take the role of a cat who lives in a world filled with robots. I’ve been interested in that title ever since it was announced. Possibly seeing Capcom’s Pragmata would also be nice, as we haven’t seen anything about that game since it was revealed. I’m sure we’ll also ee more of Square Enix’s Strangers of Paradise, which looks to be a PS5 exclusive.

Whatever gets shown, I’m sure fans will love it.
