Avatar Aang and Korra join the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl roster

By Keith MitchellOctober 1, 2021

Two Avatar favorites are heading to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.

Earlier today during the Xbox Podcast, it was revealed that Avatar Aang and Korra have been added to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. These characters were already leaked, but it was nice to get some confirmation.

Head to the 1:04:34 mark to see the reveal.

Following that reveal, both Aang and Korra received a showcase that provided us with some extra gameplay and showcased the moves of both characters. Give those a watch below.

Finally, a moveset lists for both characters was shown, and I have to say that I’m a bit disappointed. While Korra’s movelist utilizes her Avatar abilities, Aang’s movelist is mostly him using Airbending moves. I suppose they’re following the show, where Aang was still more comfortable using his Airbending abilities most of the time.

The addition of Aang and Korra brings the current Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl roster to 20 characters, with one yet to be announced.

  • Michelangelo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
  • Leonardo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
  • April O’Neil (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
  • Lincoln Loud (The Loud House)
  • Lucy Loud (The Loud House)
  • Powdered Toast Man (Ren & Stimpy)
  • Sandy Cheeks (Spongebob Squarepants)
  • Patrick Star (Spongebob Squarepants)
  • Spongebob Squarepants (Spongebob Squarepants)
  • Oblina (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters)
  • Nigel Thornberry (The Wild Thornberrys)
  • Helga (Hey Arnold!)
  • Reptar (Rugrats)
  • Zim (Invader Zim)
  • Danny Phantom (Danny Phantom)
  • Ren (Ren & Stimpy)
  • Stimpy (Ren & Stimpy)
  • Catdog (Catdog)
  • Aang (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
  • Korra (The Legend of Korra)
  • ????

Sadly, I was hoping for more Avatar characters to be added, as several of my favorites, including Toph, Zuko, Sokka, Iroh, and Mako, didn’t make the cut. At least not yet, anywhere. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl will be adding other characters via DLC, so it’s likely I’ll see at least one of these characters being added. There’s also one more character to be added to the current roster, but who will it be?

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl roster releases for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC, on October 5th, 2021. Are you looking forward to playing it? If so, let us know in the comments.
