Cobra Kai Spinoffs Gets Small Update

By Todd BlackSeptember 17, 2021
Cobra Kai Season 2

It’s no secret that many fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Cobra Kai Season 4 on Netflix. But for the people behind the scenes, their line of thinking has always been…why stop there? They have noted many times that they have an idea of where the “main story” will end, but they’ve also had glimpses and flashes of potential character stories and side stories that could be their own spinoff.

Which was updated on by Jon Hurwitz, who helped create the Cobra Kai series. He was answering a fan question about the spinoffs when he said:

We're batting around ideas for various Karate Kid/Cobra Kai spinoffs. Some further along than others. Won't spoil anything beyond that. #CobraKai https://t.co/Ixt5qefJP9

The potential here is honestly vast. We could learn the full origins of Mr. Miyagi as the Twitter user posed. Or we could learn about another sect of “Karate Kids” with their own issues, and more. Including…maybe…Hilary Swank’s character? We’ll just have to wait and see.
