An odd crossover, but interesting nonetheless.
Alongside Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails, The Dragon of Dojima himself Kiryu Kazuma of Yakuza, will be joining Super Monkey Ball.
How funny to see a dragon monkeying around in the world of Monkey Ball. Like with Sonic and his rings to replace the bananas, Kazuma also has a special item to collect. Instead of bananas, it’s energy drinks! As any fan of the Yakuza series know, the source of Kazuma Kiryu’s power is energy drinks and Stamina X’s. Also, a nice touch detail is the Yakuza battle music used in the trailer. Though it is unlikely that it will be included in the main game.
Kazuma Kiryu will be an unlockable character in the game like Sonic the Hedgehog.
SEGA, how about a Skies of Arcadia cameo next eh?
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will release on all major consoles and PC on October 5th 2021.
