World War Z: Aftermath release date announced

By Keith MitchellAugust 3, 2021
World War Z Aftermath Expansion

We now have a release date for Saber Interactive’s World War Z: Aftermath. While the expansion to the zombie-killing title World War Z was announced a few months back the release date was never mentioned, that is until now. Koch Media has announced that World War Z: Aftermath will be released on September 21st, 2021. Sadly, this means it is officially missing Summer 2021.

World War Z is an expansion that adds a new first-person mode that allows you to level up several classes; Gunslinger, Hellraiser, Slasher, Medic, Fixer, Exterminator, Dronemaster, and all-new Vanguard. A new melee system that will include two-handed and dual-wielded weapons. New story episodes set in the city of Rome and Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula. And a new Horde Mode XL game mode that will feature hundreds of enemies on screen at once. I thought that the original game had a ton of zombies, so I’m interested to see this new Horde Mode XL in action, all in 4K glory.

The World War Z: Aftermath expansion is priced at $19.99 for the standard version, $29.99 for the deluxe version if you already own the game. Otherwise, the base game including the expansion will be priced at $39.99 for the standard version and $49.99 for the deluxe version. If you purchase the full game for the PS4 or Xbox One, you’ll be able to upgrade to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions for free.

World War Z: Aftermath release will be released on September 21st, 2021, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
