New Aliens Fireteam Elite Phalax class releasing in September

While Cold Iron Studios’ recent release of Aliens Fireteam Elite has been doing and is one of my favorite games of 2021, I still want more (I’m sure you do as well). Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long as the first update for the game is right around the corner. But what can we expect with the first update? Plenty, actually, as you’ll find out.

What can we expect with the first Aliens Fireteam Elite content update?

According to Cold Iron Studios, the first update will be ready on September 8th, 2021. This update will be available to everyone who purchased the game, regardless if you picked up the standard or deluxe editions. Included in this update will be the new Phalanx class. There’s no word as to what weapons or perks this new class will possess, but having a new class releasing shortly after the games’ release is great news for longevity.

Alongside this free update will be the first season pass content from the Aliens Fireteam Elite Endeavor Pass DLC. This is available for those who purchased the deluxe edition or upgraded to the deluxe edition. This update will include “an assortment of outfits, head accessories, weapon decals, weapon colors, emotes, and more.”

Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing how this new Aliens Fireteam Elite Phalax class plays. I don’t care for the Medic or Technician class, and I’ve been spending my days with the Demolisher and the Gunner more recently. So bring on the new class, Cold Iron Studios; I’m interested.

Check out our review of Aliens FireTeam Elite while you’re here. It’s the right amount of action, faithful to the Aliens movie, and is a fantastic co-op or solo gaming experience. We at The Outerhaven love this game for blowing off stress or watching our fellow teammates get turned into Alien bait.

Aliens Fireteam Elite is now playable for the PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic Game Store).
