As the opening announcement for Gamescom’s preshow, we finally get a set release date for King of Fighters XV. Mark your calendars. It will be coming on February 17 next year on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

In the trailer, we see all the characters that have been revealed so far. That is 39 fighters so far. We also know that returning characters will be making an appearance again in this entry. Including the enigmatic Ash Crimson. We also get a first look at the interface at the character selection and the team composition. The game is said to be optimized in regards to speed and performance.

The same 3 on 3 team battle returns. Also to note that there are still some characters yet to be revealed asides from the trailer. We see new mechanics and gameplay that will be implemented. The Rush combos for easy-to-use specials and to ease in casual players. Max mode, Crushes, Climax special moves, and other mechanics from prior entries also make their return as well.
