EVANGELION:3.01+1.01 THRICE UPON A TIME

Fans of Evangelion are going to love this bit of news. Amazon has announced that they’ve acquired the rights to the upcoming and severally delayed anime,‘Evangelion:3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon a Time’. This great news, especially if you were one of the millions who were counting down the days until this film got released. Originally slated for a Winter 2015 release, this film was delayed over and over.

EVANGELION:3.01+1.01 THRICE UPON A TIME will be available on Amazon Prime starting on August 13th, worldwide, with the exception of Japan. However, it will only be available to stream, so you won’t be able to rent or purchase the film. As for why this excludes Japan, EVANGELION:3.01+1.01 THRICE UPON A TIME has already been released in theaters on March 8, 2021.

In addition to the final movie, prior films of the series ‘EVANGELION:1.11 YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE’, and ‘EVANGELION:2.22 YOU CAN (NOT) ADVANCE’ and ‘EVANGELION:3.33 YOU CAN (NOT) REDO’, will also be made available on Amazon Prime.

Word to the wise, if you haven’t watched the previously movies, you want to do so before watching the final one. Sure, you can watch it but you’ll miss out on several important details. Plus they’re great shows, lots of a quality animation, fights and character development.
