Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Sold 7.5 Million Copies

By Todd BlackJune 13, 2021
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

When Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was announced for the Nintendo Switch all the way back in 2017 (check out our review!) it was met with…questions by potential players. But after some gameplay demos it was revealed to be quite a deep game. When it released, it was a hit, quickly getting to one million and even two million by a certain point. Making it the best-selling 3rd party title on the Nintendo Switch.

However, after that point, we never really learned just how well it did. Now though, the creative director of the game, Davide Solani, has given us a number…and it’s staggering:

I’m back to speak about Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle to give a hug to all our 7.5 millions of players around the world, and the number keeps growing. Without you, there wouldn’t be any new adventure in the galaxy. The team will be forever grateful for your support 🙏🏻❤️ pic.twitter.com/BgAX2uXOF0

It’s safe to say that no one saw that amount of copies coming from this game. This might be why Ubisoft kept the sales numbers a secret in order to let the sequel be made without a lot of pressure.

And now, we have Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope to look forward to in 2022!
