Kojima Productions Teases Death Stranding Director’s Cut

By Keith MitchellJune 10, 2021

During the 2021 Summer Game Fest, Hideo Kijima teased the world with a look at an upcoming Death Stranding Director’s Cut. A game that was rumored to be in existence but was never confirmed. Well, now it is.

The little bit that we saw had Sam Porter Bridges looking over an area swarming with enemies. Honestly, at first glance, it reminded me a bit of Metal Gear Solid. There was even a box that Sam Porter Bridges had the idea of hiding in to sneak past several enemies. An area that looks straight out of Metal Gears Solid. Sadly, he scraps that idea, but it was a nice reference to our beloved Solid Snake.

This new location isn’t any that I remember from the original Death Stranding game either. Meaning, Death Stranding Director’s Cut will include a bunch of content – including content that didn’t make it into the first outing. Death Stranding Director’s Cut is exclusive to the PlayStation 5, with more information coming in the upcoming months.

I totally didn’t see this being announced, did you?
