Battlefield 6 Reveal To Take Place Next Week

By Keith MitchellJune 1, 2021

After months of rumors and speculation, EA and DICE have finally confirmed that Battlefield 6 is not only real, but we’ll see it during E3 2021. That’s right! We’ll get our first official look at Battlefield 6 next week.

The official Battlefield Twitter account dropped this tease earlier today, including a slick animated sequence that reveals the date for the E3 2021 event. Accompanied by the familiar Battlefield sound byte, you know the one I’m talking about.

The Battlefield 6 reveal is scheduled to go live on June 9 at 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT, over on the Battlefield YouTube channel. What’s odd about this all is that EA is set to host EA Play, the companies own gaming event, on June 14, 2021.  The same event that many had speculated that we’d see our first taste of Battlefield 6 at. And if that still holds, perhaps the June 9th event will be a short showing, possibly a longer showing during EA Play 2021.

As for Battlefield 6, there’s a few tidbits that we know about the game. Such as platforms that the game will be released for. Previously, DICE confirmed that the next chapter of Battlefield would be for both the current and next-generation consoles, in addition to the PC. Meaning those who still haven’t found a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S will still be able to play the game. There was also confirmation that several studios are working on what could be the largest Battlefield game to date.

Then there’s the still unconfirmed rumor that Battlefield 6 will have a battle royale mode – and I hope it doesn’t. But we’ll find out more next week, so be sure to save the date.
