New Dragon Ball Super Movie Potentially Coming In 2022

By Todd BlackMay 7, 2021
Dragon Ball Super Broly

While the world of anime is booming all around us via stories like Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia and more, it’s been years since the last episode of Dragon Ball Super aired, and over 2 years since the US premiere of Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Fans felt that the movie would usher in a new anime for the continuing adventures of Goku, Vegeta, and pals, but that never happened…but it might be happening soon.

You see, Twitter and more are alight because a leak has come stating that a new Dragon Ball Super movie is coming next year!

Now, obviously this isn’t official by any stretch, but since the leak came from the official website, you do have to wonder what it all means.

The Dragon Ball Super manga is still going on right now, and has been showcasing not just new villains, but the growth of both Goku and Vegeta’s powers. Goku is getting closer to mastering Ultra Instinct by training with Whis, and Vegeta has started his path to becoming a Destroyer God. These storylines and the ones that are no doubt upcoming are perfect for an anime return.

Should this movie be real, it could be the spark of what’s to come, and one has to wonder if the global pandemic didn’t happen, whether the movie would’ve come out this year instead of next.
