Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Sets Another Record

By Josh PiedraMay 24, 2021

I swear that I could open and run my own news site just based on Demon Slayer: Mugen Train record stories alone!

Here we are again talking about how the film has broken, yet, another record! This one deals with Demon Slayer: Mugen Train becoming the first film in Japan’s history to earn 40 billion yen locally (around $367.7 million). It has made over 51 billion yen worldwide which makes it the highest-grossing film in the entire world in 2020.

In local news, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train continues to rake in the cache. It has now made $43.9 million here in the United States which now bumps it up to the title of second-highest-grossing anime film in U.S. history. The only film that stands in its way right now is Pokemon: The First Movie.

Come on, you Tanjiro and Nezuko fans. You going to let some electric little pika furball stop you from fulfilling your destiny? Go buy those tickets!
