Come Grab ‘Little Nightmares’ While it’s Free on Steam Today

By Andrew AgressMay 29, 2021

Indie horror games Little Nightmares is currently free to download on Steam today. Or technically, until tomorrow, May 30th, at 10am. But why delay? You can get it now right here and play it whenever you like.

The game by Tarsier Studios plays out a bit like a twisted fairy tale. You take on the role of Six, a tiny (and I mean tiny) child trapped in the bowels of a great ship known as The Maw. As you make your way to the surface, you’ll have to solve puzzles and avoid the glimpses of the ravenous creatures onboard.

In our review, we called Little Nightmares “an easily recommended time-killing adventure” and praised the overall horror vibe and psychological hide-and-seek gameplay, with minor quibbles about the camera.

At the start of this year, publisher Bandai Namco offered the game for free on Steam, but with limited codes given out. This time, Steam offers the game at a 100% percent discount off of its retail price of $19.99, no strings attached.

Little Nightmares doesn’t take long to play through, with the game lasting about 4 to 6 hours. But you can always download it now and play later. Though now is a great time to play, since Little Nightmares 2 came out this past February for PlayStation 4.

A big fan of Final Fantasy VII, Uncharted, and Metal Gear Solid, Andrew loves great stories and any and all things horror flavored. He also works in the world of interactive theater, its own kind of gaming. Andrew gets his powers from listening to indie folk music and drinking aloe water.
