The Rock Reveals Black Adam Has FINALLY Started Filming

Black Adam

To say that there is a lot going on in both sides of the comics movie universes would be an understatement. Marvel is doing well with their new Disney+ series (be sure to check out our Falcon and the Winter Soldier Reviews!) but their movie slate keeps getting pushed back by the pandemic. Meanwhile, DC Comics is dealing with more and more backlash via The Snyder Cut and the behind-the-scenes tales of the theatrical cut of Justice League and how Warner Bros are to blame for more than you realize. As such, fans honestly want something positive to think about…and it might just be Black Adam.

You see, the Black Adam film was announced years ago, but star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson wanted to make sure that this movie had the perfect script, director, and crew, so he waited for years to get the right team together. Then, the movie was supposed to be filmed last year and come out in late 2021…but we all know what happened there. However, finally, after a LONG TIME…filming on Black Adam has begun, and The Rock took to Instagram to mark the occasion:

There’s a lot to gleam from this, not the least of which is The Rock’s clear passion for this movie and his desire to go and make something “special” with the movie. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too much longer for this to finish as Black Adam is set to arrive in July 2022.
