Today, PlayStation had plenty of surprises in store during its April State of Play event. So let’s jump right to it and recap everything that was announced and shown during the event.

Right out the gate, viewers were treated to a look at Subnautica Below Zero, an underwater exploration game that’s been developing for some time. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation owners won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on the game as it is scheduled to be released on May 14th, 2021. And if you don’t happen to have a PlayStation, that’s ok as the game is also launching on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and finally leaving early access for PC (Steam) this May 14th as well.

Following that was a fan favorite, Among Us. A game that has captivated the world by telling lies and trying to find just who is the imposter.  Trust me, you’ll love it, and PlayStation owners are finally getting into the action. Bonuses include a Ratchet & Clank skin, hate, and pet, exclusively for the PS4 and PS5. Sadly, a release date wasn’t announced as of yet.

Then the main course, the reason many of you tuned into the State of Play live event – 15 minutes of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart gameplay. And let me say that this game keeps looking better and better. This is a game that could be the main reason to own a PlayStation 5. I’m not even kidding and can not wait for it to be released.

The event was short but definitely sweet, and it just got us all more excited for the future of the PlayStation 5. Which game excited you? Let us know in the comments.
