What Exactly Is Loop Hero? And Why It So Popular?

Loop Hero has taken the PC gaming world by storm, even as doing as much as dethroning the prior bestseller on Steam, Valheim. The game hasn’t been available for a week and it’s already sold over 500,000 copies – that’s insane.

But what is Loop Hero? Let us break it down for you. Loop Hero is a rogue-lite, auto battler game where your character goes into a circle. That’s the gist of it, but it’s so much more. As the name suggests, you play the hero, and you’ll collect resources, as well as monster and equipment cards that will assist you in your battles. The goal? To keep doing what we mentioned, over and over and over, until you can’t anymore. But again, there’s so much more. However, our very own Matthew Paul, the self-proclaimed Loop Hero master he is, has created a video explaining the game. And he’d know more about Loop Hero than me, so I’d listen to him.

And after you’re done listening to him, check out some gameplay of Loop Hero below.

Loop Hero is currently available on Steam right now for $14.99, or $23 if you pick up the game and the soundtrack.

I’m sure this won’t be the last time we talk about Loop Hero, because the developer, Four Quarters is constantly improving the game. As a good developer should, they’re listening to the community and making changes based on player feedback and will be adding more content to the game. Matt definitely recommends the game and he says it’s phenomenal and the interest tends to agree with him.
