The debut of Superman & Lois was one of the most highly-anticipated things in superhero media of the last year (which is due in part because of the global pandemic…but I digress). It took all of one episode for fans of all types to fall in love with it. Its charm, references to past Supermen, drama and more made it one of the highest-watched shows of its timeslot on the CW in over two years. So how do you celebrate such an accomplishment? Well…

To be fair, this was almost a foregone conclusion because many of the CW/DC Comics shows are leaving soon like Black Lightning and Supergirl (ironically enough). So it’s logical that they would fill in one “super gap” with another show. But even with that in mind, it’s not shocking that Superman & Lois got renewed in the overall because it really is that great a show.
The second episode of which airs tonight on the CW so make sure you don’t miss it!
