New Marvel Select Toy Shows Off The Falcon’s New Suit

While Sam Wilson may have given up Captain America’s shield to the U.S. Government in the first episode of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ it still looks to be that he’ll still rock the traditional colors. According to an international listing for several upcoming Marvel Select toys, Sam is featured in the iconic Captain America x Falcon suit that’s similar to the one that debuted during the Sam Wilson: Captain America (2015-2017) comic book run.

The wings from Falcon’s suit return with a different color scheme. In the comic book, the wings were completely red, wherein the MCU show they are red, white, and blue. The mask is similar, with minor differences, while the boots are completely different. Sam’s new suit borrows from the Captain America MCU Stealth Suit from Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Overall, I’m happy with the new suit – incorporating pieces from the MCU and Marvel comic books. And before you ask, yes, I enjoyed the suit from the comics.

Currently, this toy has only appeared in one overseas online store. I wouldn’t go tossing money at it as this will make its way to local and online Disney stores, as well as Amazon, Target, and everywhere else toys are sold.  You’re going to see this toy, everywhere.

As for when we’ll see Sam take possession of this new suit, is anyone guess. Clearly, the government doesn’t want him playing the role of Captain America, as they’ve already introduced a new variant. We all know him as U.S. Agent – and he’s a jerk. With five episodes left and I’m sure plenty of stories to tell, I doubt we’ll have to wait much longer.

While you’re here, be sure to check out our review of the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
