Join Xbox and Bethesda’s Roundtable Discussion Later On Today

By Keith MitchellMarch 11, 2021
Xbox, Bethesda, Acquisition

Xbox and Bethesda will host a roundtable discussion today at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, and everyone is invited. This conversation will take place on the Xbox Youtube channel, so you won’t need to attend Twitter Spaces or Clubhouse.

Now, before you get your hopes up, this won’t be a discussion regarding new announcements or reveals or even what games will be exclusive to which platform. This is more of a “Now we’re a big family, let’s get to know each other.” Nothing more.

If you’ve been living under a rock, back in 2020, Xbox agreed to acquire Bethesda for $7.5 billion. However, this acquisition needed to be inspected and poked to make sure everything went smooth due to several moving parts. A few days ago, Xbox and Bethesda announced that the acquisition was completed, and now the two are one. This has left the gaming community torn for obvious reasons. On one side, there are happy to see that the wait is over, while others are concerned that games such as the Elderscrolls or DOOM, for example, may no longer appear on their console of choice. The latter being a valid concern, but we won’t more about that until Xbox is ready to talk.

So don’t go into this roundtable expecting answers on this because you won’t get those. But if you want to know more about the Bethesda team and maybe how the teams will operate, then, by all means, be sure to catch the Livestream. I’ll see you there.
