Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Receives Another TV Anime Series

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Gou finished airing this week and after the final episode aired, it was announced that the When They Cry series will be receiving another TV anime season! The new season will be called Higurashi no Naku Koro ni SOTSU and it will premiere in July of this year!

Funimation will be simulcasting the new season.

While not much is revealed about the story, it is said that it will be the “next chapter” in the Higurashi series. Gou was thought to have been a reboot of the original series; however, it was confirmed to be a sequel in which Rika had to redo the events from the first series all over again.
