New DOTA Dragon’s Blood Teaser Gives Us Look at Several New Characters

DOTA Dragon Knight

See if you can find your teeth!

Netflix and Valve have released a new trailer for the upcoming DOTA animation, Dragon’s Blood. Based on the character from DOTA, Davion, this animation looks to be an origin of sorts that will detail Davion’s rise to the Dragon Knight that is playable in the game.

This new trailer has a bit more story to either, and we’re introduced to several new characters, including Princess Mirana. I wonder if we’ll see an in-game model for her as a promotion. But more importantly, as with any animation, we now know which animation studio is working on this. And while I thought the art style was similar to that of Dreamwork’s Voltron and Legend of Korra, we have confirmation that the Koren animation studio,Studio Mir, is working on this.

I doubt this will be the last trailer, as Netflix is really trying to drum up some hype for this show. And they’ve succeeded. I can’t wait to wait to watch this, even though I have long since fallen out of love with DOTA (the game). But big props to Netflix and its continued push into anime. They’ve been showing that they’re a powerhouse over the past two years in this regard.

DOTA: Dragon Blood premieres on Netflix this March 25, 2021.
