Crash Bandicoot 4 is heading to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and PC In March

Activision and Toys for Bob have announced that Crash Bandicoot 4 will arrive on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC on March 12, 2021. The game will be priced at $59.99 for the next-gen versions and $39.99 for the PC and Switch versions.

The PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions will see a resolution bump to 4K 60 frames per second and quicker loading times. Not that the loading times were slow on previous-gen versions of the game. PS5 owners will benefit from several DualSense upgrades, allowing gamers to utilize the adaptive triggers when firing Neo Cortex’s DNA-changing blaster or  Tawna’s Hookshot. I’m glad more developers are taking advantage of the DualSense’s capabilities.

As for the Switch version, according to developer Toys for Bob (thanks to Nintendo Life), will run at 1080p docked, and 720p in handheld mode. Both modes will provide 30 frames per second.

Those who already own a copy of the game on the PS4 and Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version. PS4 owners will receive a free upgrade, while Xbox One will be able to upgrade thanks to Smart Delivery, except for those located in Japan, for some reason.

Crash Bandicoot 4 was originally released on October 2nd, 2020, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
