Little Nightmares is Free on Steam Until January 17th

By Conner BJanuary 15, 2021

Halloween may be a long way off but you can kick start the scares early this year.

On the 13th of January Bandai Namco announced that horror game Little Nightmares is free on steam to celebrate the upcoming release of the sequel Little Nightmares 2 coming out on the 11th of February 2021:

Enter the Maw with #LittleNightmares on PC! Sign up by Jan. 17th, 2021 to get a FREE copy while supplies last!

Follow the link for info and sign up today: https://t.co/brA9L1d7bW pic.twitter.com/EmHtexe6fM

To claim your free copy you will either need to click the link within the tweet or you can click here to directly go to the sign up page. Once on the page a popup will appear asking you to enter your email to get a free copy of the game. Be aware that you can only sign up for this offer until January 17th, if you get your code you have until February 13th to claim it on Steam.

While this is a great deal for people who haven’t had a chance to play Little Nightmares I would like to advise caution as the wording of this offer outlines that there is a chance you may not get a code even of you register in time, in addition to the tweet stating “while supplies last!” the signup page also states this:

“Start your nightmare with Little Nightmares on PC via STEAM®! Sign up by January 17th, 2021 for your chance to claim a free copy.”

As you can see it says “for a CHANCE to claim a free copy.” This may just be careful wording on Bandai’s part so they have something to hide behind if you don’t get a code but most likely they’ve only set aside a certain amount of copies that they’ll give away as the tweet implies.

Bandai Namco has yet to outline exactly how many copies they have to give out though so manage your expectations. And keep in mind that you’ll only be getting the base game with this offer not the complete edition.

Once you’ve signed up and you’re lucky enough to get a key you can expect an email from Namco within 2 weeks.

The resident Brit of Outerhaven, however, don't expect refinement from me as I swear like a sailor and I will die on the hill I chose to fight on.
