After a month of being available for the Xbox platform, Control is now heading Xbox Game Pass for PC. PC Gamers who missed out on this gem will be able to play it, assuming they have Xbox Game Pass for PC or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, on January 21st, 2021.

This comes after Control was made available for Xbox Game Pass on consoles and Android devices, thanks to Xbox’s Project xCloud.  Sadly, it doesn’t look as if the PC version of Control will be the Ultimate Edition, which includes – The Foundation and AWE expansions. Despite that, if you haven’t played Control as of yet and was looking for an excuse to do so, then this is that excuse.

When Control first released, I was all over this game. The gameplay is engaging, the story is fun and interesting and it’s perhaps Remedy’s best game so far. And the expansions, especially AWE, are some of the best moments in gaming. I’d say play the game on Xbox Game Pass, then drop the cash and purchase the Ultimate Edition. Trust me, you don’t want to miss either of the expansions.

Control is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. While the game is currently playable on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, next-generation versions are headed to both platforms in February. These upgraded versions will include a Ray-Tracing mode playable at 30 frames per second and 60 frames per second performance mode for the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Control Ultimate Edition comes to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with a 60fps Performance Mode and 30fps Graphics Mode (with ray-tracing)

While we work on the full trailer, enjoy a sneak peek of both modes, recorded on PS5.
