As for what we can expect, Capcom did announce that Monster Hunter Rise would see a demo for the Switch be released this month. So it’s likely we’ll find out more about that or even get this demo as soon as tomorrow. We’ll also likely see more gameplay from the game, which would be great as we haven’t seen that much from the game. Outside of the trailers and limited glimpses of the game.

I’m hoping Capcom will also address the leak that the company suffered and brought to light that Monster Hunter Rise is also being planned for other platforms. I know that’s a sore subject, but I hope they at least mention it.

Lastly, I want to see more monsters! We’ve already seen a handful of new monsters, and I hope that trend continues. I want new monsters to slay, and while bringing over fan favorites is nice, there’s nothing like new encounters.  I guess we’ll find out more on Jan. 7th, 2021, which is this upcoming Thursday.

Monster Hunter Rise will take cues from Monster Hunter World and feature a Japan / Sengoku setting. The game also includes several new game mechanics, including the Wirebug, which allows players to traverse through the map, similar to Spider-Man swinging his way through a city. And more recently, the Rampage, which is similar to a boss rush mode where players will face off against several monsters at the same time.

Monster Hunter Rise will be released on March 26, 2021, for the Nintendo Switch.
