Persona 5 Strikers, the musou game in the Persona series, is heading to the PS4, Switch, and PC (Steam) on February 23rd, 2021. According to a trailer that had already been pulled from YouTube, this the official date. You’d think that they’d realize that once a trailer hits the net, it stays there even if it’s pulled.

While we knew this was heading to the PS4 and Switch, as the game is already available for those platforms in Japan. I’m excited to see that the title is also heading to the PC. You may have also noticed that there has been a slight name change. The North American release was shorted from Persona 5: Scramble: The Phantom Strikers to just Persona 5 Strikers. Why the change, other than it being a mouthful? We don’t know, but it does sound better.
And seeing how the trailer was pulled, someone must have hit the button earlier – oops. In all likelihood, this was meant to be a Game Awards Show 2020 announcement, as the event takes place on December 10th, 2020. Omega Studios, the same studio that brought us the more recent Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, has been developing this game, with Atlus/Sega handling publishing duties. The events that take place in Persona 5 Strikers are set six months after Persona 5.
I was already looking forward to this, but now that it’s heading to the PC, well, I’m more excited now. I suppose we’ll have to wait for the “Official” announcement sometime next week. Hopefully, whoever hit the button early won’t get into much trouble. But thanks for the early present, at least.
