It was announced at Jump Festa 21 that the Boruto anime will be adapting the Vessel Arc from the manga. This means that the anime world will finally be able to be introduced to Kawaki as well as the Kara group.
A Kara arc was teased a few months ago and we received one episode with Jigen; however, it switched to a non-manga side story after that followed by more filler episodes. With that coming to an end, the anime looks to properly adapt the start of the Kara arc in the manga
