The Crown Tundra Gets New Details And Leaks

By Todd BlackOctober 20, 2020
Pokemon Sword and Shield, The Crown Tundra

Attention Pokemon Trainers! If you’re waiting for your next Pokemon experience, you won’t have to wait long as the Part 2 DLC for Pokemon Sword and Shield games is almost here! The Crown Tundra promises more Pokemon, more action, and a lot of fun.

First up, some light details. There will indeed be brand new Pokemon you can get in The Crown Tundra, as well as being able to do special Dynamax Adventures to go and catch ALL the legendary Pokemon from past Pokemon titles!

Here’s the full rundown on how that will work:

– To get to the Legendary Pokemon, you have to face off against three Dynamax Pokemon beforehand
– From where you start, after defeating it, you then have a choice on which way to go before finally getting to the final Pokemon
– Damage received from the previous stages carries over
– PP and HP lost is continued onwards
– You can find characters and berries on the paths that can heal
– You get guaranteed capture of the Legendary Pokemon you face, but you can only capture one

As for the new Pokemon, here are a few rundowns:

Ability: Chilling Neigh
When the Pokémon knocks out a target, it utters a chilling neigh, which boosts its Attack stat.

#897: Spectrier (レイスポス)
Wild Horse Pokémon

⚔️ It probes its surroundings with all its senses save one—it doesn't use its sense of sight. Spectrier's kicks are said to separate soul from body.

🛡 Calyrex is known in legend as a king that ruled over Galar in ancient times. It has the power to cause hearts to mend and plants to spring forth.

Ability: Unnerve

So yeah, you’re going to be having some fun. Plus, the main story of the DLC will be about 4 hours long, so you’ll want to go and take full advantage of that. Oh, and as if that’s not enough? Ultra Beasts are coming back and will be available to catch in the post-game.

Pokemon Sword and Shield The Crown Tundra will arrive on October 22nd!
