Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the Blade Of Light Is Coming To Nintendo Switch

By Todd BlackOctober 22, 2020
Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the Blade Of Light

Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon and the Blade Of Light is the game that well and truly started the Fire Emblem saga. It introduced Marth, the original Fire Emblem, the strategy mechanics that would become its staple, and so much more. But for many, the only way to play the game was via the Shadow Dragon remake on the Nintendo DS (which many didn’t like). But now, Nintendo has decided to fix that mistake in a way only they do…by bringing the entire original game to the US in its entirety and in English for the first time.

30 years ago, the first #FireEmblem introduced beloved characters like Marth, and the series’ signature strategic gameplay. So if you haven’t had the chance to play the original can now enjoy it in its original state! And Nintendo is pretty happy about the port too:

“The Fire Emblem series has grown into a saga enjoyed by fans for its strategic gameplay and memorable characters,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “With Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, Nintendo Switch owners can now experience the game that started it all with enhanced features that make this timeless adventure available to everyone.”

And if you want even more Fire Emblem goodness, a special collector’s edition will also be available for you.
