Scott Pilgrim is back in Scott Pilgrim vs the World: Complete Edition

Ubisoft’s Scott Pilgrim vs The World was an amazing Beat ’em up, that was sadly held hostage on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Lost forever to time, and the only way you could play it was breaking out those consoles or emulation. Well, that’s all over as Ubisoft is bringing Scott Pilgrim and crew back with Scott Pilgrim vs the World: Complete Edition.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World: Complete Edition will include the base game plus both DLCs which add new modes plus Knives Chau and Wallace Wells as playable characters. If you’ve never played the original game, but have played another similar game, River City Ransom or more recently River City Girls, then you’ll be right at home. There’s still no word on a physical release as the creator of Scott Pilgrim, Bryan Lee O’Malley, had attempted to work out a deal with Ubisoft, which looks to be lost in limbo.

As for online co-op, this was added to the original game in the same DLC that Wallace Wells was released. I’d at least hope they wouldn’t remove the online co-op in this updated version of the game.

Rediscover the beloved 2D arcade-style beat’em up inspired by the iconic comic book series and film Scott Pilgrim vs. The World in this Complete Edition! Play as your favorite characters – Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Knives Chau, Stephen Stills, and more. Team up with 3 of your friends as you battle your way through waves of tough enemies to defeat the League of Evil Exes!

For the longest time, fans of the game have been asking for Ubisoft to re-release the game and now we’re finally getting our wish. This was one of my favorite Xbox 360 games and while I played the hell out of it back then, I have zero problems buying it all over again.

Look forward to Scott Pilgrim vs The World on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Stadia, and PC (Uplay) in December 2020! Now, where’s my giant mallet?
