Ori and the Will of the Wisps out today for Nintendo Switch

By Poch SaldanaSeptember 17, 2020

The final reveal for today’s Nintendo Direct mini: Partner Showcase was a big one. Moon Studios’ gorgeous Ori and the Will of the Wisps is coming to the Nintendo Switch and it’s out right now. You can find the announcement trailer below.

The game will run at 900p/60fps when docked and 720p/60fps in handheld mode.

In addition, a collectors edition consisting of both Ori titles—Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps—will be sold through iam8bit and can be pre-ordered here. The collection will be coming to Switch, Xbox One, and PC and is expected to ship this December.

The bundle comes with a healthy amount of goodies so the $149.99 price tag doesn’t come at too much of a surprise. A complete list of what’s included is found below.

  • Premium “Transforming” Display Box with Glow-in-the-Dark Finish
  • Majestic Stained Glass style Art Piece
  • “The Flora & Fauna of Ori” Field Guide
  • Sketchbook Zine, featuring rarely seen production art
  • Collectible Art Card Set
  • Hard Enamel, Glow-in-the-Dark Pin
  • Digital Download Cards for Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps soundtracks by composer Gareth Coker
  • Physical Editions of Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Ori and the Blind Forest, featuring Exclusive, Reversible Cover Art (Region Free – Worldwide Compatibility)

This will be the second title published by Xbox Games Studios to appear on Switch with the first being the previously mentioned Ori and the Blind Forest.

Big fan of games, writing, and writing about games! Two things Poch will always stand by--the Vita was ahead of its time and the world is a better place with a new Rhythm Heaven on the horizon.
