Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2, among others, are back on PC via GOG

By Poch SaldanaSeptember 25, 2020

Metal Gear is back…kind of. Konami has announced that select titles are coming to PC through GOG. These include Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, and KONAMI Collector’s Series: Castlevania & Contra. The company’s official statement can be found below.

It should be noted that Metal Gear Solid titles are the original releases and not the updated versions—Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes nor Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance. This is the first time MGS 1 will be available on PC through a digital platform. The iconic stealth game came out on PC in late 2000 but only through physical distribution.

Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, and KONAMI Collector’s Series: Castlevania & Contra are all available now on PC via GOG.

Big fan of games, writing, and writing about games! Two things Poch will always stand by--the Vita was ahead of its time and the world is a better place with a new Rhythm Heaven on the horizon.
