Dirt 5 cruises in as an Xbox Series S | X launch title

It looks like it’s going to be a busy few weeks for video games with Microsoft finally confirming the Series S plus the launch date and price point for their new hardware. This also means a deluge of games are revealing themselves as launch titles for the next generation. Among them is the latest installment in the Dirt series.

In addition to a new gameplay teaser, Codemasters has finally confirmed the released date of the off-road racer. Initially set to launch on October 6, then pushed back a few days later to October 16, Dirt 5 is finally confirmed for November 6 just in time for the launch of both the Series S and Series X on November 10.

If you purchase current-generation versions of the title, Dirt 5 will support both Smart Delivery and PlayStation’s free upgrade plan when switching over to Series S|X or PlayStation 5. Though, as of this writing, the PlayStation 5 version’s release date has yet to be announced.

Dirt 5 is releasing on November 6 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, November 10 for Series S|X, early 2021 for Stadia, and an unspecified date for the PlayStation 5 but we can expect it to be a launch title for Sony’s machine as well.

Big fan of games, writing, and writing about games! Two things Poch will always stand by--the Vita was ahead of its time and the world is a better place with a new Rhythm Heaven on the horizon.
