During the Mario 35th Anniversary Direct , there is something for amiibo collectors as well. To go alongside with the release of Super Mario 3D World for Switch on February 12, 2021, the official Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibos will be released on the same day.
There is a likely chance that these amiibos will have some functionality to go along with the game. So if you want to jump on the extra content, preorders are now available on most sites.
Though when describing the detail on these amiibos, the fur leaves much to be desired. As this is plastic, I’m reminded of ceiling textures of general buildings. Asides from that it is a very appealing amiibo. Personally I feel the amiibos would be more favorable if they implement something similar like the yarn yoshi amiibos. Real yarn or fabric to make the amiibo fluffy would really stand out. Plus it just be more cuddly. Heck, put a sound clip of their meows in them and you will have a hot cake amiibo.
