Boseman is best known for his role as King T’Challa, a.k.a Black Panther, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise of movies. He also played a number of historical figures, including s Jackie Robinson in 42, James Brown in Get on Up, and Thurgood Marshall in Marshall. His battle with cancer was not publicized, and as the official statement says, he worked throughout chemotherapy and treatment. Fans around the world are devastated by the news of Boseman’s passing.

For many, Boseman’s portrayal of Black Panther brought hope and empowerment, and his work in over 20 different movies and TV shows has been lauded over and over again by fans and critics alike. His loss is deeply felt, and many are still processing the news. On an editorial note, even I can’t believe the news, it is a shock to lose someone so young and so talented.

Boseman is survived by his wife, Taylor Simone Ledward, and his family. The Outerhaven shares its condolences for his loss.

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
