Upcoming Marvel’s Avengers War Table announced for July 29th, beta access starting in August

By Keith MitchellJuly 15, 2020

Looks like Square Enix wants to show off more of its upcoming action/co-op title, Marvel’s Avengers, and has announced that another War Table is set for July 29th, 2020. This War Table will take place on July 29th, 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. This was confirmed by IGN.

The last War Table that took place a few weeks back, showed off some gameplay of Thor while giving us more information on the co-op system, factions, and the Avenger’s headquarters.  Chances are this time around we’ll see a new character being announced, though that’s just speculation on our part. We’ll also see a new mission type called Drop Zones. Last War Table we heard about the War Zones, with are 4 player instances, similar to that of Destiny’s strikes, that allows you to play with co-op human players or AI partners.

Along with the announcement of the War Table, comes news of the upcoming beta. With beta access for the PlayStation 4 starting on August 7th, followed up with the Xbox One and PC beta access on August 14th, if you pre-order the game. If you chose not to pre-order the game you can still get access to the beta, just at a much later date on August 21st, 2020.

The beta, according to the creative director of the game, Shaun Escayg, will be quite meaty, but will only showcase a small fraction of the finished game. Included will be some story elements, co-op missing, access to the War Zones, and the new Drop Zones. This live stream will detail what we can expect in the beta, which is great news for everyone who has wanted to get their hands on the game.

Marvel’s Avengers is slated for a September 4th, 2020, release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. I’m looking forward to this game now, more so than I have before. What about you? Are you excited about what you’ve seen so far? Let us know in the comments.
