While the PC version of Death Stranding had been delayed to July 2020, 505 Games and Kojima Productions have recently announced the PC requirements for the game. Originally scheduled for a June 2nd, 2020 release date, it will now be released on July 14th, 2020.
If you’re like me, you’ve been looking forward to this release, but you weren’t sure if your PC was up to the task then this is for you. Below you’ll find the minimum and recommended specs to play at 720P 30FPS, 1080p 30FPS, and 1080p 60FPS.

Recommended 30fps and 1080p

Recommended 60fps and 1080p
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- Memory: 8GB
- Graphics: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 590
- Direct X: Version 12
- HDD Space: 80GB

You have noticed that there are no required specifications listed for playing at 1440p or 4K, but rest assured that you’ll be able to do so. That said, both resolutions are going to require some added muscle, with 1440p likely needing a GTX 1080 / RTX 2060. While 4K is going to need something a bit stronger, such as an RTX 2080 Ti/ 2080 Super or an RX 5700 XT.
The Death Stranding PC will be released on July 14, 2020. Of course, if you don’t want to wait, the PlayStation 4 version is already available to play. For those pre-purchase the game ahead of the release date, you’ll score the following goodies;

Of course, what good is a PC port of a console game if there aren’t any enhancements? Thankfully, Death Stranding for PC will come with not only 4K support, but also ultrawide monitor support, a photo mode, and higher framerates.
