‘Cobra Kai’ Season 3 To Debut On Netflix

By Todd BlackJune 22, 2020
Cobra Kai Season 2 Review Cobra Kai Season 3

The story of Cobra Kai (in terms of the series) is a fascinating one. It was billed as a “sequel series” of sorts to the original Karate Kid movies. Even bringing back Ralph Macchio and William Zabka to reprise their roles of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawerence. But with a twist of course that this was more about Johnny getting his life back on track and Daniel being a bit of a jerk in his adult life. All the while training the next generation of karate kids. The first two seasons were shockingly good and made fans want more, and thus Cobra Kai Season 3 was confirmed.

However, Youtube’s premium service announced this year that they were going to allow Cobra Kai Season 3 to be shown somewhere else as they didn’t have plans to renew it after Season 2 was done. And now, The Wrap and others are confirming that Cobra Kai Season 3 will debut on Netflix. The first two seasons are said to arrive on Netflix as well sometime this year and Season 3 to follow that.

No release date for Season 3 has been noted by any party, but apparently it’s done with production, so it may just be up to Netflix to decide when to put it on to better maximize its viewership.

Given the quality of the series, and the dedication of the cast and crew, this is a huge score for Netflix. The first two seasons were truly special, and we reviewed the second season here and gave it high marks. Not to mention, the shocking Season 2 finale set a lot of things in motion and we can’t WAIT for the next season to arrive so we can find out where everything is going.

No matter what though, there is one thing that still holds true, Cobra Kai Never Says Die!
