During the Bitsummit Gaiden event, Inti Creates announced the third installment in the Azure Striker Gunvolt series! Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 will star Gunvolt in addition to a new female character that is a melee type. She can use projectiles to tag her enemies and then use powerful melee attacks to defeat them and increase her combo gauge. In addition, she appears to be able to deflect enemy projectiles using melee attacks as well.
It was also unveiled that one of Mega Man’s former creators, Keiji Inafune, is involved with the game. He is working with Inti Creates on the combat system for the game. In fact, Inafune unveiled that the was involved with the series from the very beginning!
Development on the game has just begun so there isn’t a release date set for it just yet; however, the game is being created for Nintendo Switch.
