Ubisoft to host its own digital event Ubisoft Forward in July

Not wanting to be left out of the online streaming festivities, Ubisoft has announced that they’ll also hold their own digital event, Ubisoft Forward. This event will take place on July 12, 2020, at 12 PM PT /  3 PM ET / 9 PM CEST.

Still, why July of all months?

Save the Date! Join us July 12 for Ubisoft Forward, a fully digital showcase with exclusive game news, reveals and more 🎉 Stay tuned… #UbiForward pic.twitter.com/JLYEyF1YnL

While there’s not a lot of information regarding this event as of yet, it does strike me odd that this is being held in July, instead of June 2020. Perhaps Ubisoft released that there are too many live stream events taking place that month. Not counting IGN’s, Gamespot’s, and Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest, which will be on everyone’s radar. CD Projekt Red is also holding its own event to showcase Cyberpunk 2077, Night City Wire. So I suppose July is a better month for Ubisoft to show off their line-up.

Speaking of the line-up, we should expect to see a number of titles. The delayed Watch Dogs: Legion, which is a title I’m looking forward to. As well as more from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, maybe even a new Far Cry, the rumored Prince of Persia reboot. or even a new Splinter Cell. Yeah, I’m going to keep holding on to the latter, it’s bound to happen eventually.

More details surrounding Ubisoft Forward will be released at a later date, so be sure to check back often.
