Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remaster soundtrack is missing some classics

By Keith MitchellMay 16, 2020

Following the announcement of the Tony Hawk Pro Skater Pro 1 and 2 Remaster, Activation released a list of which songs will be included in the soundtrack. They even compiled a list of those songs and created a Spotify tracklist for us to listen to.

Originally when I heard of the remasters, I figured the original songs simply wouldn’t make the cut. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that most of the songs that accompanied the original games were going to be included.

Below is a list of the following songs that are in the remasters.

  1. “Police Truck” — Dead Kennedys
  2. “Superman” — Goldfinger
  3. “Jerry Was A Race Car Driver” — Primus
  4. “New Girl” — The Suicide Machines
  5. “Here and Now” — The Ernies
  6. “Euro-Barge” — The Vandals
  7. “Blood Brothers” — Papa Roach
  8. “Guerilla Radio” — Rage Against The Machine
  9. “Pin the Tail on the Donkey” — Naughty by Nature
  10. “You” — Bad Religion
  11. “When Worlds Collide” — Powerman 5000
  12. “No Cigar” — Mlilencolin
  13. “Cyclone” — Dub Pistols
  14. “May 16” — Lagwagon
  15. “Subculture (feat. Dieselboy + Kaos VIP)” — Styles of Beyond
  16. “Heavy Metal Winner” — Consumed
  17. “Evil Eye” — Fu Manchu
  18. “Five Lessons Learned” — Swingin’ Utters

While the majority of songs are back, there are stilll a few favorites that aren’t coming back. Looking at the missing tracks, I feel that the tracks cut from Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 hurt the soundtrack a bit more than those from the original game. Here’s what’s missing

  1. “Even Rude” — Villified (Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1)
  2. “Speedealer” — Screamer Driver (Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1)
  3. Suicidal Tendencies” — Cyco Vision  (Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1)
  4. “Committed” — Unsane  (Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2)
  5. “Bring Tha Noize” — Public Enemy (Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2)
  6. “B-Boy Document” — The High & Mighty, Mad Skillz, Mos Def (Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2)
  7. “Out With The Old” — Alleylife (Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2)

Needless to say, missing both Bring Tha Noize and B-Boy Document is frustrating, as those were some of the better tracks, IMHO, in the game. Still, I’m glad to see that most of the songs are making a return. Especially considering how much Activision likely had to fork out to get those songs back.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remaster will be released on September 4th, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Epic Games Store). Are you excited about this remaster? Let us know in the comments.
