New gameplay footage of Tribute Games Panzer Paladin released

By Keith MitchellMay 15, 2020

Today, Tribute Games sent over a new video from the upcoming retro title, Panzer Paladin. For those who have been following the game, we haven’t seen or heard much from the studio since PAX East 2020, as they’ve been busy working on the title.

This new video is full of new content that we haven’t seen before, nor was it available in the PAX East 2020 build that we played. Check it out below.

Panzer Paladin is a homage of games from the past and is heavily influenced by titles such as Mega Man, Metal Storm, Shovel Knight, Zelda II, Castlevania, Master Blaster, and few others I’ve missed. Having played the PAX East 2020 demo, I had a blast playing the title as I was impressed by the gameplay and taken back by the 8-bit retro look. The gameplay revolves around the player defeating enemies and taking the weapons of the fallen foes in your fight. Did I mention you also pilot a mecha suit, similar to that of a Gundam? Yep, it does sound pretty cool.

If you’re looking to pick up the PC version, you can wishlist it now on Steam.

There’s still no confirmed release date for Panzer Paladin, outside of the Summer 2020 release window for the PC and Nintendo Switch.

Being a fan of all of the games that influenced Panzer Paladin, I’m looking forward to this. What about you? Are you looking forward to Panzer Paladin? Let us know in the comments.
