Originally considered an April Fool’s Day joke, the word was that Rogue Legacy 2 had started development. Thankfully, the developers of the game, Cellar Door Games, have confirmed that the game is in development and this was no joke. Rogue Easily of our favorite indie and roguelike games, Rogue Legacy has as a huge following here at The Outerhaven. Even though we’ve spent more time dying in that castle than we’d like to admit.

Yes, it's official. Rogue Legacy 2 is in development! We'll be releasing a lot more info in the coming days.

Until then please enjoy these WIP screenshots! ❤ pic.twitter.com/RRO5yk02yd

Sadly, there’s not much information regarding the game as it was just announced. Cellar Door Games has mentioned they plan on sharing more information in the upcoming days. So we’ll be sure to update this article once they do.

Still, if you haven’t played the first game, now is the perfect time to do so. Rogue Legacy is available on a number of platforms, including the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. It’s dirt cheap now and can be found for under $20 USD, while the Nintendo Switch version is just $5! There’s also a PC demo if you want to give that a try.
