Pokemon Twilight Wings continues to be a true triumph for the Pokemon world, and definitely something that we need right now with the main Pokemon series getting a delay thanks to Coronavirus restrictions. But with its latest episode, we get yet another beautiful story about one of the gym leaders of the Galar region. In this case, the fan-favorite Nessa.
Ironically, in the games, Nessa only gets light backstory, but here, we get to see what she does outside of the gym leader role that she has. She’s a model, and one that loves to pose and work with water-type Pokemon (which is natural because she’s a water-type gym leader). But when her dual-career comes under question (by a truly creepy Chairman Rose), Nessa has to find the truth of who she is.
We won’t spoil what happens, but it’s a really good story about what people can do when they put their minds to it and find their true selves. It should also be noted that this doesn’t end the same way as the second episode with Bea.
Oh, and there’s another fan-favorite character who gets shown off in this episode via Sonia. Who was noted to have a good relationship with Nessa in the Pokemon Sword and Shield games.
