Masashi Kishimoto’s Samurai 8 Manga Comes to Abrupt End

By Josh PiedraMarch 18, 2020

It was announced that Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto’s latest manga series, Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru, will be coming to an end. The manga debuted in May of 2019 and will be ending with the 43rd chapter. This will give the manga series a total of 5 total volumes, a far cry from the 72 volumes that Naruto lasted.

The announcement was made via Twitter which you can view below:

And so, here it is! Indeed, Samurai 8 will end this issue with Chapter 43. First rank for Witch's Guardian and next week we'll have cover for Kimetsu no Yaiba and new Mitama Security and act-age Color Pages! Also, ONE PIECE will be absent in Issue #18, and get the cover in #19. pic.twitter.com/RjqVIUlH7w

Kishimoto stated previously that he aimed for the series to run for 10 volumes. Looks like it wasn’t received well enough to hit that goal.
