‘Doctor Who’ Shares Coronavirus Crisis Message on Twitter

Doctor Who Jodie Whitaker

With the world affected by the COVID-19 or Coronavirus crisis, various celebrities have taken to Twitter to send messages of hope. Some have been more effective than others. However, BBC show Doctor Who recently took to Twitter to send one that’s fairly on-brand. The Doctor, played by Jodie Whittaker, travels the galaxy helping others deal with crises and pandemics, so it makes sense for the show to send out a message during this time. Jodie Whittaker takes up the mantle and appears to deliver words of encouragement from what looks like a laundry closet. Check it out.

Aside from being a fun nod to the show, The Doctor actually provides some real advice, saying “Listen to science and listen to doctors, right? They’ve got your back.” Considering that she is The Doctor, it does make sense. She also advocates for telling jokes, “even bad ones,” and being kind to people.

If you’re looking for a show to binge during this time, the latest season of Doctor Who came out earlier this year. If you’re on the fence about it, check out our review.
