Sora NOT Coming To Super Smash Bros Ultimate?

By Todd BlackFebruary 7, 2020

Needless to say, Super Smash Bros Ultimate has been one of the biggest hits in gaming in the last year or so, especially for its home console the Nintendo Switch. One of the reasons it continues to do well is because of their DLC Fighter Pack which brought Joker (from Persona 5), the Dragon Quest Hero, Banjo-Kazooie, Terry Bogard (Fatal Fury) and Byleth from Fire Emblem Three Houses to the mix. And with Fighter Pack 2 confirmed to be coming, many wonder who’s going to be in it. Well, a new rumor says the long-desired Sora from Kingdom Heart s WON’T be one of those next six.

This comes from the Kinda Funny Gamescast via host Imrah Khan. He’s been a journalist and insider to the gaming world for a long time and he claims that Nintendo DID contact Disney about bringing Sora into the game, but that Disney Japan shut it down.

Whether this is true or not remains to be seen. Many feel it’s odd that Disney Japan was the one getting the denial rights and not the main brand. This is to be regarded as rumor until things clear up, but if you want to hear Khan talk about it, go to the 28:00 minute mark in the video below.
