Mob Psycho 100: Psychic Battle RPG Game Launches

By Josh PiedraJanuary 9, 2020

Crunchyroll Games announced today that they are launching a brand-new turn-based role-playing game based off of ONE’s Mob Psycho 100 franchise. Titled, Mob Psycho 100: Psychic Battle, the game allows fans to interact with and use powerful psychic moves alongside their favorite characters from select elements from both the first and second seasons of the show.

The game will feature the original voice actors from “Mob Psycho 100” including Setsuo Ito (Shigeo Kageyama), Takahiro Sakurai (Arataka Reigen), and Akio Ôtsuka (Dimple/Narrator). The game will also feature 80+ characters that players can collect to build out their personal team of five featuring an array of special abilities. Each character will have a special move set and a corresponding animated cutscene ahead of their special attack.

With over 40,000 pre-registrants, players have already unlocked psychic powers, ultimate recruitment coupons, limited character frames and more! These items will be available to everyone who downloads the game once it’s live.

As players progress through the game they’ll train and strengthen their characters through ability awakening, star level upgrades, collecting experience points and obtaining superpower equipment.

The game will offer players the chance to explore and battle in classic locations from the “Mob Psycho 100” universe. Teams can compete against each other (PVP) or combine forces to battle together (PVE) in arena battles, guild battles, and ladder competitions.

For the more casual player, they can also enjoy playing games at school, participating in fishing competitions every weekend and owning their own pet! The game also offers a social aspect for players to interact with others by adding friends, chatting, in-game leaderboard and participating in the sharing system.

The game will be available in the following locations: the U.S. and its territories, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. The launch of this new game is a part of Crunchyroll’s broader commitment to building out a full slate of 360-degree experiences to deepen the community’s engagement with their favorite shows.
