Trails of Cold Steel III is slashing its way onto the Switch in 2020

Announced by NIS America today, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will see a port on the Nintendo Switch.

This port will be released in 2020 for North America, with a Japanese port following shortly after. Interesting enough, the Switch port is happening even before a PC port has been announced.

Check out the announcement trailer below.

The Switch version will run at 720p and 30FPS in both the docked and handheld modes. There will also be a demo of the game once it launches, which is nice to see more companies embracing demos again. The Switch release will also include all of the DLC that’s currently available for the PlayStation 4 version.

There will also be a special edition called Thors Academy Edition, which includes a copy of the game, steelbook case, Einhel Keep Collector’s Box, Hardcover Art Book, Symphony of Class VII soundtrack, several postcards, and a Mishy Plushie. This retails for $99.99 and is available on NIS America’s website for pre-order. Chances are this CE is going to sell out, as they always tend to do.

You can see all that in the image below.
